The 2025 Honda Civic isn't the biggest or most powerful sedan on the road. But that doesn't mean it is any less impressive. This stellar entry into the Honda sedan lineup sets the standard for what Tonawanda drivers crave when they head out on the town.
Northtown Honda is excited to welcome the latest version of its popular compact car to our new inventory. But we still have an outstanding selection of 2024 Honda Civic models ready for you to explore. Which model you choose is entirely up to you. But our team wants to let you know what changes you can expect between the 2025 Honda Civic and the 2024 Honda Civic.
New Hybrid Powertrain Option
After a decade hiatus, the 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid makes a triumphant return in Tonawanda. But this is unlike any hybrid you may remember. This version takes a potent four-cylinder engine and couples it with a pair of electric motors. Together, they combine to produce 200 horsepower and 232 pound-feet of torque for an energetic trek through town. This system gives you the same horsepower as the turbocharged upgrade on the 2025 Honda Civic Sport trim but gives more torque.
The 2024 Honda Civic gives you three engine options; none is available as a hybrid. The base engine is the same 2.0-liter four-cylinder found in the hybrid, but it produces 158 horsepower, with a turbocharged powertrain topping at out 180 horsepower. The turbocharged four-cylinder has been discontinued for 2025.
Refreshed Style
One of the most noticeable updates to the 2025 Honda Civic is the facelift. The fresh new look gives the 2025 Honda Civic a more aggressive appearance with a redesigned front fascia and grille. Even the lights get revamped with headlight accents that blend into the body color and darker taillights for a clean look. A front lower spoiler is added to give a more aerodynamic drive. These aesthetic updates give the 2025 Honda Civic a more athletic look and feel.
Infotainment/Safety Upgrades
The biggest addition to the cabin is the shift to Google Built-In for the infotainment system. This operating system is found in the 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid Sport Touring trim. It comes with a three-year subscription and brings drivers Google Maps, Google Voice Assistant, and other Google services to make your drive easier through hands-free tools.
Safety is always a priority for Honda. The standard inclusion of Honda Sensing is an indicator of that. The mid-level Sport trim adds standard Blind-Spot with Rear Cross Traffic Alert into the mix that already includes high-tech driver-assist features like Forward Collision Warning, Collision Mitigation Braking System with Pedestrian Detection, and Adaptive Cruise Control.
Shift in Engine Options
As alluded to, Honda has taken the turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine out of the 2025 Honda Civic. Now, it consists of a 150-horsepower, 2.0-liter engine. If you prefer the turbocharged option, choose the 2024 Honda Civic. You also won't find the manual transmission, previously available in the 2024 Honda Civic hatchback. Instead, the manual transmission moves to the much-sportier 2025 Honda Civic SI and 2025 Civic Type-R models.
